Has anyone started experimenting with HDR? It involves bracketing the exposures of the same subject, then "stitching" parts of the photos together to get details for each part that are properly exposed for that segment. Hard to explain, but looking at a well done HDR photo is really breathtaking. Check some of the pics on this page out for examples:

When HDR is done lightly, it can increase dynamic range nicely. Sometimes, however, the effect looks overcooked to me. Appropriate for some subject matter, but it doesn't always work.
I've read that Photomatrix is a good program. Eric |
